Today I want to introduce to you with this video, a great tool called Stopbuddy which can be installed on your computer once you have decided to quit smoking. You can download the software from www.stopbuddy.com and it is freeware. I use it to monitor and to motivate my decision quitting the bad habit and find it quite useful, supporting and interesting. Software with quit meter, virtual support and lot’s of information about smoking. Stopbuddy is a software product made for people who want to stop smoking. It helps people understand the reasons they smoke, and what the health risks of smoking are. It will try to guide people in the withdrawal process, and help them if they experience withdrawal symptoms.
This is an important tool for everyone who decides to quit smoking!

Heute möchte ich euch mit meinem Video ein tolles Programm vorstellen zur Unterstützung bei der Raucherentwöhnung. Dieses Programm namens Stopbuddy wird auf dem PC installiert und kann man kostenlos von www.stopbuddy.com herunterladen. Ich gebrauche diesen Monitor zur Unterstützung, zur Motivation und finde die Auswertung der Daten auch sehr interessant. Täglich wenn man auf der Frage hin bestätigt, noch immer keine geraucht zu haben – werden die Daten hochgerechnet und man bekommt interessante Auswertungen. Zudem liefert die Software auch noch interessante Fakten sowie Unterstützung zur Verständnis und Rat bezüglich Linderung der meisten Entzugssymptomen.
Ein muss, für jeder der mit dem Rauchen aufhört!

I am 27 weeks pregnant.
I can’t stop smoking, i have tried literally everything i can think of, including acupuncture, patches, gum, hypnotherapy, affirmations and even thrown away a packet with 19 cigarettes in them. I would try those tablets but they won’t give them to me as i’m pregnant. I’ve told my midwife about this and she said she would refer me to smoking cessation classes, but she hasnt done anything about it. I used to think i had alot of willpower before this, NOT NOW lol. I smoke about 10-20 a day.
Any suggestions?

I don’t have a partner at the moment, i live with my mother, who smokes about 40 a day, ive asked her to stop with me, but she refuses to stop, and i can’t make her at the end of the day. Even if i never bought cigarettes, she always has them on display so i see them all the time.

I think the only way you can truly stop is to mentally force yourself. You can replace it with something else, like whenever you crave a cig suck on a piece of ice, or something to that effect.

After a nasty bout of bronchitis and flu I have decided to try to give up smoking once and for all. I had my first cigarette, stolen from Mom’s packet (John Rolfe 30’s) when I was fourteen but I did not smoke as a habit until I was about 21, now I am 32 and after 11 years I am beginning to feel the kak effects. I have tried that chewing gum but it made me sick, the patches fell off and did not work in my opinion. What about acupuncture? Does that WORK? I figure if I do not stop now it will be too late….. any advice?

Apparently the first three weeks are the worst. If you can get through that, then you are well on the way to being a non-smoker.
